Managing network connectivity in cloud environments like AWS/Azure.

A Day in the Life

Manages and optimises network connectivity in cloud environments including VPCs, VPNs, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud networks. Ensures secure, reliable, and fast connectivity between on-premise systems and cloud infrastructure.

Design and configure cloud VPCs and network topologies
Manage VPN gateways and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute links
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues
Implement network security (firewalls, NACLs, security groups)
Optimise bandwidth and latency for cloud applications
Document network architecture and maintain diagrams
Perform network capacity planning

Tech company environment — office or remote. Works closely with cloud engineers and security teams. On-call duties for network incidents.
