A Day in the Life
Assist qualified child psychologists in assessing and supporting children with emotional, behavioral, and developmental difficulties in Sri Lanka — working in child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) services, schools, and hospitals.
- Assist in psychological assessments of children (cognitive, developmental, behavioral)
- Support delivery of child-friendly therapeutic interventions (play therapy, CBT for children)
- Observe and document child behavior during assessments
- Administer standardized psychometric tests under supervision
- Facilitate therapeutic activities with children in groups or individual sessions
- Maintain child psychology case files and assessment records
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and referring professionals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Work Environment
Child and adolescent mental health service, school counseling center, or hospital pediatric psychology department. Child-friendly therapeutic environment. Works under supervision of qualified child psychologist.
Typical hours: 40h/week · WLB score 7/10 · RARE overtime
