A Day in the Life

Assist qualified child psychologists in assessing and supporting children with emotional, behavioral, and developmental difficulties in Sri Lanka — working in child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) services, schools, and hospitals.

Assist in psychological assessments of children (cognitive, developmental, behavioral)
Support delivery of child-friendly therapeutic interventions (play therapy, CBT for children)
Observe and document child behavior during assessments
Administer standardized psychometric tests under supervision
Facilitate therapeutic activities with children in groups or individual sessions
Maintain child psychology case files and assessment records
Liaise with parents, teachers, and referring professionals
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

Child and adolescent mental health service, school counseling center, or hospital pediatric psychology department. Child-friendly therapeutic environment. Works under supervision of qualified child psychologist.
