Manages ground operations and customer service for an airline at a specific airport.
A Day in the Life
Manage all airline ground operations at an airport station — overseeing check-in, boarding, ramp, and passenger services to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.
- Oversee all departure and arrival operations for assigned airline at BIA or regional airport
- Manage station team — check-in agents, ramp handlers, and customer service staff
- Coordinate with airport authority, customs, and immigration for smooth flight operations
- Handle passenger IRROP (Irregular Operations) — delays, diversions, denied boarding
- Manage fuel, catering, and ground equipment coordination for departing flights
- Ensure CAASL safety and security compliance at the station
- Prepare and submit station performance reports to regional headquarters
- Manage station budget, vendor contracts, and ground handling agreements
Work Environment
Airport terminal and ramp environment. 24/7 operation management requiring shift coverage and personal availability for major IRROPs. High accountability role with airline brand on the line at every departure.
Typical hours: 60h/week · WLB score 4/10 · COMMON overtime
24/7 operational accountability with shift coverage. Major IRROPs require personal attendance regardless of time. High-responsibility demanding career.
