About This Role
Optimizing Wi-Fi, 5G, and other wireless protocols for seamless connectivity.
A Day in the Life
Design and optimise wireless communication systems including Wi-Fi, cellular, and microwave networks, conducting RF planning and resolving signal interference issues.
- Design wireless network coverage plans
- Conduct RF site surveys and measurements
- Optimise antenna placement and power levels
- Analyse interference and resolve signal issues
- Plan and deploy Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Support cellular network expansion projects
- Prepare RF design reports and documentation
- Test wireless performance with spectrum analysers
Work Environment
Field-heavy engineering role combining office planning with on-site RF measurements and installations.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 6/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Field work demands including travel. Network outages require urgent response.
