An Urban Planner / GIS Consultant spends their day integrating geographic information systems (GIS) into urban development projects. This involves data analysis, mapping, spatial modeling, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and government officials to create sustainable and efficient city designs.
- Collect and analyze geospatial data related to land use, demographics, infrastructure, and environmental factors.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and mapping applications for urban planning projects.
- Create detailed maps, charts, and reports using GIS software to visualize planning proposals.
