About This Role

Designs and manages the electrical and networking systems for telecommunication towers and data centers.

A Day in the Life

Design, build, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure including transmission networks, backbone fibre, tower infrastructure, and core network elements.

  • Design transmission and backbone network infrastructure
  • Plan fibre optic and microwave link deployments
  • Manage BTS and tower infrastructure projects
  • Monitor core network performance and capacity
  • Liaise with equipment vendors on deployments
  • Prepare technical specifications and BOQs
  • Coordinate with civil and electrical teams on tower builds
  • Optimise network capacity and throughput

Work Environment

FIELDTeam: LARGECASUALRemote: LOW

Mix of office planning and field deployment work. Works on physically demanding infrastructure projects. Requires strong technical and project coordination skills.

Typical hours: 50h/week · WLB score 5/10 · COMMON overtime

Field deployment projects require travel and extended hours. Network outages require on-call response.
