A Day in the Life

Systems Architects design the overall technical architecture of complex software systems — making high-level technology decisions, defining system boundaries, evaluating trade-offs, and ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across the entire system.

Define system architecture for large-scale software projects
Evaluate technology choices and create architecture decision records
Design microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
Review and provide guidance on system designs from engineering teams
Create architectural diagrams and technical documentation
Assess existing systems for modernisation and migration strategies
Collaborate with CTO, product leadership, and senior engineers
