A Day in the Life
A Sustainability Officer (Corporate) spends their day developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies for a company. This involves conducting impact assessments, setting reduction targets for carbon footprint and waste, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with sustainability regulations.
- Develop and implement corporate sustainability strategies and policies.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon emissions, waste, water usage).
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource optimization.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives.
