A Day in the Life
Supervise restaurant service team and operations during meal periods — ensuring service standards, managing staff, handling guest requests, and maintaining restaurant quality at a hotel or standalone restaurant.
- Brief and deploy restaurant service team at start of each shift
- Inspect table setup, linen, and condiment preparation before service
- Supervise service execution and coach team on standards
- Handle guest complaints and implement service recovery
- Manage table allocation and reservation management
- Monitor POS accuracy and end-of-shift revenue reconciliation
- Coordinate with kitchen on menu items and special requirements
- Complete shift handover report and escalate issues to F&B manager
Work Environment
First-line management in a hotel restaurant or standalone dining venue. Restaurant supervisors are the direct leaders of service teams — critical for maintaining quality and consistency during meal service periods.
Typical hours: 50h/week · WLB score 4/10 · COMMON overtime
