A Remote Sensing Analyst interprets satellite imagery and aerial photos to extract valuable information about the Earth's surface. They use specialized software to process, analyze, and classify images, monitoring changes in land cover, vegetation health, water bodies, and urban expansion. Their work supports environmental management, agriculture, and urban planning.
- Acquire and process satellite imagery and aerial photographs
- Perform image classification and feature extraction using remote sensing software
- Conduct change detection analysis to monitor environmental shifts
- Integrate remote sensing data with GIS for spatial analysis
- Develop algorithms and scripts for automated image processing
- Create maps, reports, and visualizations of analysis results
