A Day in the Life
A QA Officer in the herbal sector focuses on ensuring the quality and safety of herbal medicine and cosmetic products. This involves inspecting raw materials, monitoring production processes for adherence to GMP, conducting in-process and final product testing, and maintaining meticulous records. The day often includes laboratory work, documentation, and collaborating with production teams.
- Inspect incoming raw herbal materials for quality and authenticity
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Conduct in-process quality checks and finished product testing (chemical, biological)
- Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities and test results
- Investigate deviations and non-conformances, initiating corrective actions
- Prepare and review batch production records and quality documentation
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Assist in internal and external audits related to quality standards
Work Environment
