A Day in the Life

You lead the public relations strategy for an organisation, managing reputation, media relationships, crisis communications, and a team of PR professionals to protect and promote the brand.

  • Develop and oversee the annual PR strategy and communications calendar
  • Lead media relations strategy — cultivate relationships with senior editors and journalists
  • Manage crisis communications response and act as company spokesperson when required
  • Brief and prepare senior executives for media interviews and public speaking
  • Review and approve all press materials, messaging, and external communications
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PR executives and assistants
  • Report PR KPIs to the CMO or Board — reach, sentiment, share of voice
  • Manage agency relationships and PR budgets
