A Day in the Life

You manage the technical systems and processes that production relies on — overseeing production planning systems, equipment reliability, quality management infrastructure, and continuous improvement to maximise factory performance.

  • Review production system KPIs — OEE, throughput, first-pass yield, downtime
  • Lead root cause analysis on recurring production defects or losses
  • Drive Lean/Six Sigma improvement projects to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Manage the CMMS and production planning systems (ERP/MES)
  • Coordinate equipment investment decisions with finance and engineering
  • Develop production capacity models for new product introduction
  • Train and develop production engineers and supervisors
  • Represent production systems to senior management and customers during audits

Manufacturing management office with regular factory floor access. A strategic role that combines systems thinking with operational execution.
