A Day in the Life

Research and analyze economic policies affecting Sri Lanka's macroeconomic stability, fiscal position, and development goals. Work at government ministries, CBSL, international organizations, or think tanks.

Analyze SL economic data (GDP, inflation, trade balance, fiscal deficit)
Research fiscal and monetary policy options and their economic impacts
Prepare policy briefs and reports for government decision-makers
Model economic scenarios using econometric tools (Stata, EViews, R)
Monitor IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF) conditions and progress
Compare SL economic policy with regional peers (India, Bangladesh, Vietnam)
Present findings to ministry officials, CBSL, or international partners
