A Day in the Life

Pharmaceutical Product Developers formulate, test, and optimise drug products — working in R&D labs to develop tablet, liquid, and injectable formulations, conducting stability testing, and preparing regulatory dossiers for product registration.

  • Develop pharmaceutical formulations (tablets, capsules, liquids, injectables)
  • Conduct stability studies under ICH conditions
  • Perform analytical testing (HPLC, dissolution, titration)
  • Prepare and review regulatory submission dossiers (CTDs)
  • Scale up formulations from lab to pilot scale
  • Investigate OOS (out of specification) results
  • Collaborate with QA, regulatory, and manufacturing teams
