A Day in the Life
Monitor network operations 24/7, detect and respond to network incidents, manage ticketing, escalate critical issues, and maintain network documentation.
- Monitor network infrastructure dashboards and alerts
- Respond to network incidents and outages
- Troubleshoot Layer 1/2/3 network issues
- Escalate critical incidents to senior engineers
- Log and track incidents in ticketing system
- Perform routine network health checks
- Update network documentation and topology maps
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors on outages
Work Environment
Fast-paced operations centre environment. 24/7 shift work. Requires calmness under pressure and methodical troubleshooting approach.
