Performs diagnostic tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens. Works in hospital labs, diagnostic centres, and private labs. Registered with the Allied Health Sciences Council of Sri Lanka. Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from OUSL, SLIIT, or state universities. Major employers: Asiri Labs, Nawaloka Labs, Lanka Clinical Reference Laboratories (Dr. Reinnhardt).
