A Day in the Life
Manage the administrative, operational, and strategic functions of a hospital or healthcare facility in Sri Lanka. Oversee hospital operations, staff management, budgets, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement programs.
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations (OPD, wards, diagnostics, pharmacy)
- Manage hospital budget planning, procurement, and financial performance
- Coordinate medical staff credentialing and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health regulations and SLMC standards
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Handle patient complaints and hospital grievances
- Prepare hospital performance reports for board or ministry
- Coordinate capital projects (new wings, equipment upgrades)
Work Environment
Senior administrative role at a government or private hospital. Bridges clinical and business functions. Works closely with doctors, nurses, finance, and HR. Requires both healthcare knowledge and management capability.
