A Day in the Life
An Intelligence/Defense Analyst (Imagery) spends their day analyzing satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and other geospatial intelligence to identify patterns, detect changes, and provide critical insights for national security, border monitoring, and disaster response. This is a highly specialized and detail-oriented role.
- Analyze high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery for specific objects, activities, or changes.
- Interpret geospatial data to identify potential threats, illegal activities, or environmental changes.
- Utilize advanced image processing software and GIS tools to enhance and extract information from imagery.
- Prepare detailed intelligence reports, maps, and briefings for decision-makers.
- Collaborate with other intelligence analysts and defense personnel.
- Maintain and update geospatial databases and archives.
- Stay updated on geopolitical developments and technological advancements in imagery analysis.

Work Environment
