A Day in the Life

IIoT Specialists design and implement Industrial Internet of Things systems — connecting factory machinery, sensors, and control systems to data platforms for real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimisation.

Design IIoT sensor network architectures for factory environments
Integrate PLCs and SCADA systems with cloud platforms
Configure MQTT/OPC-UA protocols for machine data
Build real-time dashboards for industrial operations
Troubleshoot connectivity between OT and IT systems
Develop predictive maintenance models from sensor data
Train operations teams on IIoT system usage

Work Environment

Factory floor and office environment. Bridges IT and Operational Technology (OT). Highly specialised emerging field.
