A Day in the Life
Supervise a team of room attendants on assigned hotel floors — inspecting rooms, managing workloads, handling guest requests, and ensuring consistent cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Assign room attendant daily workloads based on arrivals, departures, and stayovers
- Conduct room inspections on all completed rooms before releasing to Front Office
- Handle immediate guest complaints related to room cleanliness on assigned floors
- Coordinate with room attendants on special setup requests (VIP rooms, floral, amenities)
- Monitor linen and amenity supply levels and requisition from linen room
- Report to housekeeping manager on floor status, issues, and staff performance
- Train new room attendants on floor procedures and quality standards
- Ensure health and safety compliance on assigned floors
Work Environment
Hotel floors — inspecting rooms, coordinating with room attendants, liaising with Front Office. Active physical role with 8,000–12,000 steps per shift. First supervisory level in housekeeping career ladder.
