A Day in the Life
Hardware Support Engineers provide technical support for hardware infrastructure — installing servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, and resolving hardware faults in enterprise environments.
- Install and configure servers, storage arrays, and networking hardware
- Diagnose and resolve hardware faults in enterprise systems
- Manage hardware inventory and asset tracking
- Perform firmware upgrades on servers and infrastructure equipment
- Support data centre operations and rack management
- Coordinate warranty replacements with vendors
- Document configurations and maintenance procedures
Work Environment
Data centre or corporate IT environment. Mix of planned maintenance and reactive fault resolution. Physical and technical work.
