A Day in the Life

A Food Supply Chain Manager orchestrates the movement of food products, from sourcing raw materials to delivery to consumers. This involves planning logistics, managing inventory, negotiating with suppliers, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Planning and optimizing logistics for food transportation and storage
Managing inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure freshness
Negotiating contracts with suppliers, transporters, and distributors
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality regulations
Analyzing supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
Coordinating with production, sales, and marketing teams
Resolving issues such as delays, spoilage, or quality discrepancies
Implementing technology solutions for tracking and traceability

Work Environment
