A Day in the Life

A Food Safety & Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive food safety and quality management systems. This role ensures that all agricultural and animal-based food products meet stringent chemical and biological safety standards from farm to fork.

  • Develop and implement HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety management systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify critical control points in the supply chain.
  • Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage and investigate customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing corrective actions.
  • Train staff on food safety protocols, hygiene, and quality procedures.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update company policies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, production, and R&D teams on quality initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management on food safety performance.
