A Food Safety Auditor inspects food facilities to ensure they comply with hygiene regulations and safety management systems. They spend their days traveling to various sites, meticulously checking processes, documentation, and physical conditions to identify risks and ensure adherence to standards.
- Plan and conduct on-site audits of food manufacturing facilities, restaurants, or farms.
- Inspect production processes, storage areas, equipment, and personnel hygiene.
- Review food safety management system documentation (e.g., HACCP plans, SOPs).
- Interview staff to assess their understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify non-conformities, potential hazards, and areas for improvement.
