A Day in the Life
Manage day-to-day food production operations — overseeing production plans, team performance, quality standards, cost targets, and regulatory compliance in a food manufacturing facility.
- Review daily production plan and align team to output targets
- Monitor production line performance and address bottlenecks in real time
- Ensure GMP and HACCP compliance during production shifts
- Manage materials consumption — raw material, packaging, and waste control
- Review and sign off on quality records, CCP (Critical Control Point) logs
- Lead shift teams and address performance and discipline issues
- Coordinate with QA, supply chain, and maintenance teams
- Report production KPIs to operations director and implement corrective actions
Work Environment
Food production floor and office in manufacturing facility. Hybrid of floor-based management and administrative reporting. Responsible for delivering production targets while maintaining food safety standards.
Typical hours: 50h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Management structure provides better balance than shift worker roles. Peak production periods more demanding.
