A Day in the Life
Operate production machinery and perform manual assembly, packing, and quality checks on fast-moving consumer goods in a food or beverage manufacturing facility.
- Operate and monitor assigned production line machinery according to SOPs
- Perform manual packing, labeling, and sealing of food/beverage products
- Conduct basic quality checks (weight, seal integrity, appearance) on production line
- Report machine faults, defects, or downtime to production supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of work station and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Record production output data on shift logsheets
- Participate in shift changeover and machine cleaning/sanitization procedures
- Follow food safety and HACCP guidelines at all times
Work Environment
Food or FMCG manufacturing factory in industrial zones — Ekala, Katunayake, Biyagama EPZ, or Horana. Shift-based operation (typically 3 shifts). Uniform, hairnet, gloves, and safety footwear provided. Temperature-controlled environments for dairy and chilled products.
Typical hours: 48h/week · WLB score 6/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
