A Day in the Life

Deliver food and beverage service to guests in a hotel restaurant, bar, or resort dining area — taking orders, serving dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Set up dining tables, cutlery, and condiments before service
Welcome guests, take orders, and enter into POS
Serve food courses and beverages in correct sequence
Monitor guest needs during dining and respond to requests
Recommend dishes and daily specials
Process payments via POS (cash, card)
Clear tables efficiently and reset for next guests
Maintain cleanliness of service area throughout shift

Shift-based role. Split shifts (breakfast and dinner) common in some properties. Weekends are busy.
