A Farm Machinery Fleet Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of agricultural machinery, from procurement and maintenance to deployment and optimization. Their day involves scheduling maintenance, managing repair teams, tracking machinery performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and planning for future fleet needs to support farm operations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all farm machinery
- Manage a team of mechanics and equipment operators
- Oversee repairs and procure necessary spare parts and consumables
- Track machinery utilization, fuel consumption, and performance metrics
- Ensure all machinery complies with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Plan for machinery upgrades, replacements, and new acquisitions based on farm needs
