A Day in the Life
An Environmental Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day environmental performance of an organization, focusing on waste treatment, resource usage, and chemical safety. This involves managing teams, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational processes for sustainability.
- Manage and supervise teams responsible for waste treatment, pollution control, and environmental monitoring
- Ensure operational activities comply with all environmental regulations and permits
- Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous waste
- Implement and optimize resource efficiency programs (e.g., water, energy, raw materials)
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate environmental risks
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for operational staff
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., CEA) and external contractors
- Prepare operational environmental performance reports and budgets
Work Environment
