A Day in the Life
An EHS Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs within an organization. Their day involves strategic planning, policy development, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and management systems
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify workplace hazards and environmental impacts
- Ensure compliance with all local and international EHS regulations (e.g., CEA, Factories Ordinance)
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees
- Manage EHS budgets and resources effectively
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and stakeholders
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization
Work Environment
Primarily an office-based role involving strategic planning, policy development, and administrative tasks. Regular site visits to operational areas are required to conduct inspections, audits, and oversee program implementation.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
