A Day in the Life

An Environmental Data Lead oversees the entire data lifecycle for environmental compliance and resource tracking. This involves designing data pipelines, managing databases, ensuring data quality, and leading a team of data analysts. They translate business needs into data requirements and provide strategic insights to management.

Designing and implementing robust environmental data pipelines and architectures
Managing and optimizing environmental databases (e.g., for emissions, water usage, waste)
Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all environmental datasets
Leading and mentoring a team of environmental data analysts
Collaborating with environmental engineers, scientists, and compliance officers
Developing and implementing data governance policies for environmental data
