A Day in the Life
Coordinate eco-tourism programs and activities — managing bookings, guiding nature experiences, liaising with communities, and ensuring responsible tourism standards in natural and cultural settings.
- Coordinate bookings and scheduling for eco-tourism experiences and nature tours
- Lead or assist with guided nature walks, birdwatching tours, and village visits
- Liaise with local communities on community-based tourism program logistics
- Prepare visitor information materials and nature interpretation guides
- Monitor visitor impact and maintain usage records for protected areas
- Coordinate with national park staff and DWLC rangers for wildlife experiences
- Handle visitor inquiries and bookings for eco-lodge and nature camp programs
- Assist with environmental monitoring data collection
Work Environment
Eco-lodges, wildlife corridors, national park edges, and community tourism villages across Sri Lanka. Physical outdoor work with mixed administrative coordination duties. Deeply meaningful work connecting nature conservation with tourism income.
