A Day in the Life
Desktop Support Engineers resolve end-user hardware and software issues — troubleshooting computers, printers, and peripherals, setting up workstations, and ensuring employees can work efficiently with their technology.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets for hardware and software issues
- Set up and configure new workstations and laptops
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems for users
- Install and update software and operating systems
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory
- Conduct basic hardware repairs (RAM, HDD replacement)
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Work Environment
Office environment with travel between departments/floors. Varied daily work from user to user. Face-to-face with internal customers.
