A Day in the Life

Analyse financial datasets to produce insights, dashboards, and reports that support investment decisions, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business performance monitoring within a financial institution or corporate finance team.

  • Extract and clean financial data from core banking systems, ERP, or market data feeds
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to track KPIs (NPA ratios, ROE, cost-to-income)
  • Produce monthly financial performance reports for management and regulators
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts
  • Support credit risk, market risk, or liquidity risk reporting teams
  • Develop SQL queries to retrieve and aggregate financial data from databases
  • Automate recurring reports using Python or Excel macros to reduce manual effort
  • Present findings to finance managers and senior leadership with clear data visualisations
