A Day in the Life
Analyse financial datasets to produce insights, dashboards, and reports that support investment decisions, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business performance monitoring within a financial institution or corporate finance team.
- Extract and clean financial data from core banking systems, ERP, or market data feeds
- Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to track KPIs (NPA ratios, ROE, cost-to-income)
- Produce monthly financial performance reports for management and regulators
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts
- Support credit risk, market risk, or liquidity risk reporting teams
- Develop SQL queries to retrieve and aggregate financial data from databases
- Automate recurring reports using Python or Excel macros to reduce manual effort
- Present findings to finance managers and senior leadership with clear data visualisations
Work Environment
