A Day in the Life
Provide personal care, daily living assistance, and emotional support to elderly, disabled, or chronically ill individuals in their homes or residential care facilities in Sri Lanka.
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding where required
- Administer prescribed medications as directed
- Support mobility and transfers (bed to chair, bathroom)
- Engage clients in activities to maintain mental and social engagement
- Monitor and report changes in health or behavior
- Accompany clients to medical appointments
- Maintain a safe, clean living environment
Work Environment
Client home or residential care facility. Highly personal, one-to-one relationship role. Rural and urban settings. Increasingly, Sri Lankan caregivers are trained for overseas employment (Japan, Israel, UAE).
