Entry role at an insurer (AIA, Ceylinco Life, SLIC), consultancy (Aon, Willis Towers Watson Lanka), or IRCSL. Supports senior actuaries in reserving, pricing, and valuation. Begins IFoA professional exams (CS1, CS2 first). Employers often pay exam fees and grant study leave.

Pass all IFoA Core Principles, Core Practices, and Specialist Principles papers. Average pass rate ~40–50% per paper. Most actuaries take 5–10 years. After passing Core Technical subjects you can use the title 'Actuarial Analyst.' After all exams and 3 years APC (Actuarial Professional Certificate) work experience, awarded Fellow status (FIA).
